On May 19, the Patent Office awarded recognition prizes at the student enterprises’ (SMU) event “Young Entrepreneurs' Days 2022” organized by Junior Achievement Latvia (JA Latvia).

JA Latvia together with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) organised the traditional annual event "Young Entrepreneurs' Days" for the best SMU programme participants, which took place in Jurmala from 18 to 19 May this year.
The SMUs were evaluated by a team of experienced entrepreneurs, industry professionals and academics, including Director of the Patent Office Agris Batalauskis.
This year more than 1100 SMUs registered in the Learning Enterprise Programme and the top 10 SMUs from primary schools and the top 20 from secondary schools were selected for the final. The winner of the Best New Enterprise title is SMU ThreeCube from Agenskalna State Gymnasium, who have created the first 3D printed miniatures in Latvia for gifts and interactive learning for children. In the JA Latvia e-catalogue you can still browse the virtual stands of SMUs and buy their products or services - innovative technological solutions, useful beauty and household products, various games and toys for children, clothing, accessories, food products, interior items, etc.
The event was carried out within the framework of the ERDF Innovation Programme implemented by the LIAA. It was co-financed by the European Union and organized by the largest Latvian educational organization JA Latvia in cooperation with its long-term sponsor Swedbank.
