The Latvian Patent Office has selected the eight candidates of the fourth quarter for the main award of the Trademark of the Year 2024. During the next week, we will introduce a series of publications about the companies – owners of creative, expressive and strong trademarks, candidates for the main award of the competition selected in various nominations.

Easily find what's lost – FIND A COW
The Findacow app was launched in 2024, and its goal is to help people easily and quickly find lost items. The company created special stickers and keychains with QR codes to be attached to personal items and registered in the Findacow app. In case of loss, the finder of the item scans the QR code and contacts the owner of the item.
“The name “Findacow” was created to convey the idea of finding things. When you hear the name, your own visualization of a cow is formed, and it creates a memorable brand with a tinge of humour,” says the company’s founder Henrieta Basa.

A trademark that aims to highlight prosperity – Prosper
The trademark “Prosper” of the peat extraction company "BaltBio” was created as an easily understandable and readable word for export customers. It covers both professionalism, growth, and rich harvests achievable by using the company’s products.
“Our slogan “We deliver peat” complements the trademark, so that everything is clear about what we do,” says the company' s representative Alise Rozenberga.
The LLC "BaltBio" was founded in 2013. It is active in peat extraction. In 2024, the company registered the new trademark “Prosper” to export peat and peat substrates in various packaging.
