LLC “JZ Microphones” has been awarded the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) IP Enterprise Medal. The company has received it for high-quality and sophisticated design microphones, which are recognized in Latvia and abroad, manufactured by using a self-developed, unique technology, thus promoting creativity and inventivness. The company has registered several designs and trademarks both in Latvia and internationally. JZ Microphones was nominated for the WIPO Award by the Patent Office.
"There is only one way to develop your business globally and surprise the world - you should have the courage to create something new and unprecedented! Of course, it is not as easy as you'd like it to be, but the questions like "How can you satisfy the customer's wish in a better, faster, or different way?" or "What are the things that other manufacturers or service providers ignore?" can definitely help. We are very happy and honored to get this award and hope that an increasing number of Latvian companies will surprise the world with something new! ” said Andris Zemmers, Member of the Board and Global Marketing Director of JZ Microphones.
JZ Microphones was established in Riga in 2007 by Juris Zariņš, a professional jeweller, engineer, and patent co-owner, who had practiced repairing antique and exclusive Neumann, AKG, Telefunken microphones for twenty years, and later participated in the development of Blue and Violet microphones, which are well known in the music industry. Violet's success inspired Juris Zariņš to establish an independent, 100% Latvian company, where products are handmade by most talented local engineers. The name of the company includes the initials of Juris Zariņš - Juris Zarins Microphones. Juris Zariņš passed away on August 20, 2017.
Today, JZ Microphones continues to be a widely recognized manufacturer of premium studio microphones, used by many world-class music stars such as Mick Jagger (The Rolling Stones), Bono (U2), Lady Gaga, Christine Aguilera, Foo Fighters, and more. The company highly evaluates its cooperation with Latvian musicians. Its microphones are used for recordings by Maestro Raimonds Pauls, Instrumenti, Aminata, Justs, Aija Andrejeva, Neon Saturdays, Goran Gora, and others.
