Design is the basis for successful marketing, and innovative design is an intellectual property that can bear fruit. Of course, if it is protected. Young designers increasingly become aware of the advantages provided by the system of industrial property protection and make use of them by registering designs, participating in competitions and gaining recognition from the public and experts in the field.
Awarding the winners, Mr. Agris Batalauskis stressed: "As we can see at the 2022 Furniture and Design exhibition, design creatively and vividly reflects what is relevant to our society. The trends of the last years clearly show that design is no longer only about external appearance, form and functionality, it includes a much wider spectrum of values, such as green thinking, inclusive society, sustainability, quality of life. The creative spirit of authors often reveals new contours, facets, meaning in frequently used concepts and embodies them in the things around us.”
