Rozie – an application named after a hardworking animated film character

Rozie is a mobile application developed by Latvian IT professionals that offers a simple solution, connecting customers with cleaning service providers in just three steps – placing an order is as easy as booking a taxi using similar applications.

Rozie solves the problem of finding cleaning services, as sometimes it could take hours to do it. The application is also unique in that it is the client that states the time and date for a cleaning service instead of adapting to the service provider’s schedule. The ROZIE APP company was founded quite recently – in 2023, while the mobile application was launched in October 2024. Currently, Malta is the main market chosen by the company. However, the company’s goal is to become a global player – not only in Europe, but also in the US and other markets.

“The trademark name was inspired by a character from a cartoon series and symbolizes a cute robot that helps with homework. Given today's intense daily rhythm, people often don't have time to do it themselves,” says the company’s representative Dainis Duļbinskis.

A paving and landscaping company with family strength – Uzars

Uzars is one of the oldest paving companies in Latvia. Its history began in 1994, immediately after the restoration of independence. The name was chosen with the strength of the family in mind – Uzars is the surname of the company's owner Jānis, and he guarantees with it the quality of the company's work, as his great-grandfather, who was a skilled carpenter, once did.

The establishment of Jānis Uzars’ company was a result of an exciting coincidence – he became friends with a German family which address he found in a bottle washed up from the sea. In Germany, Jānis learned the trade of paving stones and, upon returning to Latvia, founded the company.

“We all started with shovels once,” says the owner about the beginning of his company. Jānis Uzars himself and each of the key staff, who all worked with shovels and laid paving stones at the very beginning, can be proud of these words.
