The "VISIONARY" award will be presented at the awards ceremony of the competition "Trademark of Year 2022", which will start at 14:00 and will be available online on the Internet portal Tvnet.lv as well as on the Facebook and YouTube profiles of the Patent Office.
The objective of the award is to honour companies, researchers, scientists and intellectual property (IP) professionals who contribute to the development of the IP field, move towards new goals and see the potential where others miss to do it.
"In Latvia, there are many great companies and people who contribute significantly to the development of the IP field and are not afraid of creating something new and innovative, providing the necessary incentives for investment in new solutions, inventions and science, thus promoting the development of Latvian entrepreneurship and national economy. That is why we have created a unique IP award "VISIONARY", its name highlighting the Patent Office’s wish to honour those who are a step ahead and look to the future instead of "resting on their old laurels". We will continue to honour annually the best and bravest, so I invite everyone to set their own goals and move towards making Latvia increasingly innovative, offering excellent and competitive products to the world market," says Agris Batalauskis, Director of the Patent Office.
AERONES ENGINEERING LLC is a robotics company that offers wind turbine blade maintenance, employing more than 200 professionals in the field. In turn, the winners of the competition "Trademark of Year 2022" will be awarded on 27 April, determining the best trademarks registered last year for Latvia and the world. The competition has been organized for the tenth consecutive year by the Patent Office in cooperation with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Latvian Designers' Society.
